Chandler Limited has just announced the TG Microphone, in collaboration with EMI / Abbey Road Studios.
The TG Microphone is a solid-state, large diaphragm condenser microphone, featuring—as the name implies—the legendary TG sound, a ‘Dual Tone’ voicing system and on-board NAB/IEC ‘Tape Equalizer’ facility, re-purposed from historic EMI TG12410 transfer (mastering) consoles and re-engineered for microphone duties.
During testing, the TG Microphone has routinely beat-out classics including— FET47, C414eb, U87s, and U47s from Abbey Road's mic locker.
The TG Microphone features a larger than solid-sate sound, and comes with a dedicated PSU, 25' Mogami mic cable, shockmount and wooden case.
With a 'Dual Tone' voicing system and onboard 'Tape Equalizer' you would expect to pay a premium for these added features, but this microphone comes with a sub $2000 price tag. That's right, we are able to offer this microphone at $1849.00 street price.
