Final Notes:

The only and small issue I found was channel 5.   The mic and line/tape on 5 is distorting very subtly.
There is a 3 segment meter and it's showing crosstalk or something on two segments.  99.9% sure it's a chip, cap, or resistors or all or some.
Otherwise visually it's exceptionally clean and is almost perfect functionally.    Especially for being over 45 years old.

Channel 5 pre still useable despite a little distortion, recommendation to use for something like snare drum.

Sound Workshop was a company that was started in the late 70s by folks from API.  In 1978, Datatronix licensed the rights to API from the owners. Founder Saul Walker, and most of the original engineers including Sid Zimet, Michael Tapes, and Paul Galbert, who had designed the API 554 sweep and the 954 automated equalizers, went to work for Sound Workshop.
