Music stands are used in just about every recording studio to hold lyrics for a singer, or text for a voice actor. And just about every engineer puts a piece of carpet on the stand to prevent sound reflections from bouncing back into the mic. To be honest, carpet is cheap, or free, and it works. But it's not very pretty, it doesn't happen to fit the stand, and it sheds fibers at the cut edge (a choking hazard for small children, pets and drummers).
Introducing... the Stand Quilt. A real, homemade quilt that will do the same job as carpet, but look a lot better - and maybe even inspire the vocalist so you don't have to spend hours pitch-correcting her for a change. Hey, it could happen! We've done our homework on these. They will sit nicely atop either a Manhasset or a Belmonte stand, and they're about half-an-inch thick. That's more than thick enough to dampen reflections and ringing; but still leaves plenty of room for mulitple pages. Simply put, Stand Quilts have created a new problem for you, and solved it. What will you say when the singer turns up his nose at your ratty old carpet, because the studio across the street has all-new Stand Quilts? Imagine your embarrassment! Don't let that happen to you. |
