The all-aluminium enclosure offers maximum interior volume. Added rigidity from inner wall bracing ensures an absence of resonant colorations. M52 + Digital Input = M 52 D

We took the M 52, expanded upon the existing design, equipped it with switchable inputs for both analog and digital signals in AES3 (AES/EBU), AES3id and S/P-DIF format, and christened the new model the M 52 D. The D/A converter has 24-bit resolution and a sampling rate of 32 - 96 kHz. The analog input is transformer-balanced and floating. A rotary switch on the front panel allows you to select from four sources: the analog input, digital left, digital right, or both digital channels combined.

Power switch, volume control, and the signal selection switch are all conveniently located on the front panel of the compact cabinet. The rear panel hosts an XLR connector which can accept either the analog signal or the AES/EBU digital signal, and a BNC connector for an AES3id or S/P-DIF digital signal, which makes for easy daisy-chaining. Other connectors, including battery input, are located on the back panel.

This compact, passive 2-way near-field studio monitor is best suited to small spaces. The P 110 provides amazingly precise bass reproduction for its size down to 72 Hz (–3 dB). The homogenous LRIM (Low Resonance Integral Moulding) enclosure guarantees an optimal waveguide and perfect dispersion patterns. When the O 110 nearfield monitor was just on the drawing board, we set ourselves some extremely high standards and goals. The O 500 C is one of a new class of large reference monitors that employ an integrated digital controller. Utilizing active FIR filters, this monitor delivers an entirely new dimension in playback quality. Digital signal processing combined with Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters make it possible to control the amplitude response and the phase response independently of each other.
As a result, not only can the crossover be made to function as a linear phase filter, but the most detailed and thorough equalization of the three individual drivers can also be achieved.

The O 500 C can be fine-tuned to compensate for the acoustic peculiarities or deficiencies of a given studio, and thereby significantly improve listening conditions. The controller can bring about substantial improvements in the rise-time and decay time of the loud-speaker membranes, thereby im-proving acoustic phase response and time coherence. The monitor offers digital and analog inputs as well as a MIDI and an RS232 interface. Using the MIDI interface you can recall all setups and all parameters that can be set using the software. As an option, you can recall different equalization setups for different purposes, such as for classical recordings, pop, or drama. All user-specific parameters can be saved to a plug-in memory module, allowing for the quick and easy transfer of data to another studio monitor of the same type in the event your monitor needs to be serviced or swapped out. There is an additional output for connecting an active subwoofer; if you make use of this output, the digital controller of the O 500 C will assume the crossover, equalization, and phase correction functions for both units. As a result of this new technology, you can experience sound, space and time reproduced with an accuracy like you have never known. Until now.

Eight channels of analog ensures flexible interconnectivity for modern studios. Four-mode LFE-channel processing guarantees compatibility across all formats and industries. Forth-order crossovers and flexible acoustical controls allow for seamless system integration. Built-in volume control and a hardware remote control allows for centralized system control independent of the source, and the electronics can be remote located to reduce cabling

The latest amplifier technology and acoustical components have been used to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction possible. Robust drivers, a rock-solid cabinet, and carefully designed ports guarantee a tight, articulate, and distortion-free low frequency reproduction, even at high replay levels. Using the sum output, Plane Wave Bass Array™ (PWBA™) techniques acoustically improves lateral consistency in the listening area. The bass extends down to 18 Hz.

The O 810 subwoofer is designed to complement Klein + Hummel’s extensive range of monitors, and can be used on its own, or daisy-chained to make larger systems capable of higher SPL. The O 810 can be used in music, broadcast, and post production studios for tracking, mixing, and mastering. The cabinet can be positioned next to a wall or flush mounted into a wall due to the front mounted port, and can be mixed freely in multichannel systems with other loudspeakers from the Klein + Hummel range.

The high-performance O 900 studio subwoofer is the ideal complement for the O 500 C studio monitor. Precise bass reproduction is achieved down to 17 Hz (– 1.5 dB). The 120 liter cabinet gives a high maximum sound pressure output with a flat frequency response. This is due to the ingenious enclosure design, as well as the use of uncompromisingly constructed drivers. The O 900 can use the analog subwoofer output of the O 500 C and an external amplifier (K+H KPA 2220 recommended).
